                                Welcome to Cupar U3A

Cupar U3A was launched in Cupar on April 22nd 2009 and is part of a world wide movement which was founded in 1972. The University of the Third Age (U3A) was set up to encourage local people to draw together talent from amongst retired or semi- retired people who have an interest in sharing their knowledge, in widening their horizons and in learning, studying and researching topics. The Third Age refers to the period of time after the First Age of childhood dependence and the Second Age of full-time employment and parental responsibility.

We now have study groups in Cupar in which members can participate. We also have an open meeting at monthly intervals with a range of speakers which are open to members and the public. If you decide to attend regularly we hope you will become members.

The annual subscription to Cupar U3A is £15  and new members will be made very welcome. If you want to find out more please come along to one of our  open meetings and join in the fun.

What is the Third Age?

U3A is a learning cooperative of retired or semi-retired people which enables members to share many educational, creative and leisure activities.

U3A membership offers new challenges, new opportunities and new friends.
